This is part of my Forever Grateful project.
As I was selling my home and placing my business on hiatus for a period of time, I took portraits of about 30 people who influenced my career over the past 12 years. This was my way of saying “Thanks” and letting everyone know that I couldn’t have done it without their support.
For 8 years you have been on the top of my list of make-up artists for several reasons… 1) Your mad skills with both make-up and hair. 2) The way you connected with my clients, which put them as ease and made my job easier. 3) The countless dog treats you brought Bodhi 😉 4) Your determination to insure that when you weren’t available, you’d help me find other make-up artist to fill your shoes.
Being a freelancer, big job opportunities often come up and conflict with other shoots. When they did, before accepting the job, you always made sure that I had someone else to work with me. Often times that meant referring people like Hilda & Carole, two of my other favorite make-up artists. This devotion to taking care of me is just one of the many reasons why you are a true professional and a wonderful human being.
And though we learned not to talk politics while working together, I think we both can agree that if Congress could work together like you and I do, they would get much more accomplished and probably have a lot of fun along the way. 😉
Thank you for your unwavering support and friendship over the years.
You’re one in a million.
The Story Behind the Shoot:
Veronica recently adopted 3 dogs. She went from 0 dogs to 3 dogs overnight. I couldn’t leave town without taking a couple photos with her new pack… plus, it was a good excuse to finally meet her little furry kids.
